WALLHACK M-001 DPI & Polling Rate Customization GuideUpdated 8 hours ago
The M-001 lets you change DPI and polling rate two ways: on-the-fly using the dials on the receiver, or with custom values set in WALLHACK Terminal. Both are designed so you can adjust without leaving your game.
What ships out of the box
Sensor: PixArt PAW3950 - rated for glass surfaces
DPI: 1600 (default), full range 100-30,000 via WALLHACK Terminal, 50 DPI increments
Polling rate: 2000 Hz (default) - full range 125-8,000 Hz via Terminal, 500 Hz increments
5 DPI presets and 5 polling rate presets on the receiver dials, ready to use
WALLHACK Terminal for any value in between, plus lift-off distance, sensor modes, and sleep timer
Method 1: Adjust with the dials (on-the-fly)
DPI dial
Turn the DPI dial on the receiver to cycle through:
400 DPI
800 DPI
1600 DPI (default)
3200 DPI
6400 DPI
The active value lights up on the top row of the receiver. The mouse LED flashes white once to confirm the change.
HZ (polling rate) dial
Turn the HZ dial to cycle through:
500 Hz
1000 Hz
2000 Hz (default)
4000 Hz
8000 Hz
The active rate lights up on the bottom row of the receiver. Mouse LED flashes once to confirm.
How the dials feel
Both dials have a click-detent at every preset position, so each step is a single tactile click. There are physical limiters at the lowest and highest values - the dials don't wrap around. If you're already at 6400 DPI, turning further does nothing; you have to turn back the other way.
Method 2: Custom values via WALLHACK Terminal
If the 5 presets aren't your exact value (say, 1250 DPI or 1500 Hz), open WALLHACK Terminal in your browser. It's a web-based configuration tool, no driver install required, works on Windows and macOS.
Terminal also exposes settings the dials don't:
Lift-off distance: 0.7 mm, 1.0 mm, or 2.0 mm. Lower = sensor disengages sooner when you lift the mouse (tighter for low-sens flickers)
Sensor modes: Motion Sync toggle, plus Performance vs. Low Power mode (see "What is Motion Sync, Game Mode & Ripple Control?")
Sleep timer: how long the mouse waits before entering low-power sleep
How to use it
Plug the M-001 receiver into your computer.
Open WALLHACK Terminal at terminal.wallhack.com.
Allow the browser to connect to the device when prompted.
Set your custom DPI and/or polling rate, then save.
Your custom value is stored on the receiver itself - it persists across PCs, even without WALLHACK Terminal running.
How custom values show on the receiver
When you're running a custom DPI or polling rate (not one of the 5 presets), the receiver shows it differently:
Custom DPI → leftmost "DPI" label LED lights up Winner Yellow instead of one of the preset LEDs
Custom polling → leftmost "HZ" label LED lights up Winner Yellow
This way you always know at a glance whether you're on a preset or a custom value.
A note on 8000 Hz polling
8000 Hz polling is supported, and the M-001's wireless latency at 8 kHz is around 2 ms - genuinely competitive. But high polling has trade-offs:
Battery life drops significantly at 8000 Hz - preliminary numbers put it at around 16 hours, versus ~90 hours at 1000 Hz
Older systems can struggle. Older CPUs, USB hubs, and some games stutter at 8000 Hz. If you experience input lag or skipping at high polling, drop to 4000 Hz or 2000 Hz, most pros sit well within this range.
If long battery life matters more than the last few percent of responsiveness, 1000 or 2000 Hz is the sweet spot. Switch to Low Power mode via Terminal to extend that further.
