Base wobble or mouse tilt refers to a condition where the mouse rocks or shifts side-to-side on an otherwise flat surface. This behavior is commonly caused by improperly installed mouse skates, uneven skate wear resulting from user grip pressure or movement patterns, damaged skates, or missing skates on the mouse base.

If base wobble is present, inspect the bottom of the mouse to ensure all skates are installed correctly and positioned within the designated skate regions. It is also recommended to inspect the skates for excessive wear, deformation, or shear-like wear patterns which may indicate uneven contact or material degradation. If significant wear is present, replacing the skates is recommended to restore proper base stability and surface contact.

Please note that some third-party aftermarket mouse skates may have dimensional tolerances or thickness inconsistencies which can contribute to base wobble, particularly if installed unevenly or outside of the intended skate contact areas.
