What skate layout should I use?Updated 4 days ago
WALLHACK mouse skates are designed with a universal form factor and are compatible with the majority of gaming mice on the market. Unlike stock skate configurations, WALLHACK Dots and Pills are intended to provide a customizable glide experience by allowing users to determine skate quantity and placement based on their preferred friction characteristics and control requirements.
For lower friction and reduced contact area, a 2x2 configuration is recommended, with two skates applied to the upper skate region and two skates applied to the lower skate region of the mouse base. Users seeking increased friction, stability, or control may increase the number of skates applied. In these cases, a 4x4 configuration, with four skates applied to both the upper and lower skate regions, is recommended.
For larger mouse shapes or users seeking additional tuning of glide behavior and control characteristics, experimenting with alternative layouts and skate positioning, including asymmetrical or intermediate configurations such as 3x2 layouts, may provide improved results depending on the mouse base design and user preference.
For optimal stability and sensor performance, placing skates directly in the center region of the mouse skate area, or outside of the intended skate contact regions on the mouse base, is not recommended. Improper skate placement may introduce base wobble or uneven surface contact, which can negatively affect glide consistency, mousepad contact behavior, and sensor tracking performance.
