How do I clean my cloth mousepad?Updated 5 days ago

Glass mousepads, such as the SP-005, are usually easy to clean. The WALLHACK SY-001 and MO-001 are cloth mousepads, and they need a little more care. This guide explains how to clean them.

Light to medium cleaning:

For light to medium dirt, the following process is enough.

What you will need:

●    Lysol disinfectant spray

●    A lint free cloth

Steps:

●    Use a lint free cloth to wipe any loose debris from your cloth pad.

●    Hold the Lysol can about 15 centimetres away from the area you want to clean, and spray in short bursts.

●    Use the lint free cloth to wipe the sprayed area.

●    Repeat as needed until you reach the desired result.

Stubborn stains:

For more stubborn stains, the following deeper cleaning process is recommended.

What you will need:

●    A dry cloth or towel

●    A cleaning cloth

●    A mild dish soap

Steps:

●    Place the mousepad in a bathtub or sink filled with lukewarm water.

●    Put a small amount of mild dish soap onto the mousepad, in the area you want to clean.

●    Gently scrub the mousepad with the cleaning cloth to remove oil, stains, or other debris.

●    Remove the mousepad from the soapy water and rinse it thoroughly.

●    Dab away the excess water with a clean towel, then place the mousepad on a rack and let it dry fully.

●    Allow the mousepad to dry for a few hours before using it again.

Important note:

Cleaning your mousepad may restore some of its performance, but it also carries a risk of damage and may change the feel of the pad. Please clean your pad at your own risk, and handle it with care during cleaning.

In many cases, prevention is more important than cleaning. Try to keep your mousepad clean from the start to avoid the need for deeper cleaning later.
