How do I enable X-INPUT gamepad emulation on my K-001?Updated 14 days ago

With gamepad emulation, your K-001 can act as an Xbox style controller. Because the switches read the full key travel, mapped keys deliver true analog input: press lightly to walk, and bottom out to sprint. In WALLHACK Terminal, you turn emulation on with the GAMEPAD MODE selector under ADVANCED > GAMEPAD, then map keys to controller buttons in the MAPPING tab.

What you can do with it:

Analog movement in games that do not natively support analog keyboard input, in anything that accepts a controller.

Keep the precision of a keyboard for aiming, while feeding analog movement to the game as a controller stick.

Gamepad modes:

The K-001 offers 3 GAMEPAD MODE options in ADVANCED > GAMEPAD. Cycle between them with the < and > arrows next to the setting:

  • KEYBOARD ONLY: No controller output. The K-001 sends keyboard signals only. This is the default, and it is what you want for typing and standard games.
  • XBOX: XInput or Xbox style controller emulation. Use this in modern PC games, which almost always expect the Xbox controller protocol.
  • CLASSIC: A legacy controller mode for older games and applications that do not recognise XInput.

Only one mode is active at a time per profile. This means you can build a KEYBOARD ONLY profile and an XBOX profile side by side, then switch between them with FN + dial.

How to enable it:

Setup happens in WALLHACK Terminal, which runs in your web browser (Chrome or Edge is recommended for device access).

Open WALLHACK Terminal at terminal.wallhack.com and click CONNECT DEVICE. Select WALLHACK K-001 in the browser’s device prompt and confirm.

Select the profile the gamepad setup should live in, using the PROFILE selector.

Open the ADVANCED tab, then the GAMEPAD sub-tab.

Set GAMEPAD MODE to XBOX (use the < and > arrows). Pick CLASSIC instead if your game needs the legacy controller protocol.

Open the MAPPING tab and pick the layer to map (Base Layer, or FN Layer 1-3 if you want gamepad inputs behind an FN combination).

Open the GAMEPAD category and assign keys to controller inputs. The full Xbox style set is available: A / B / X / Y, D-Pad directions, L and R bumpers, L and R triggers, both stick directions and presses, and Start, Back, and Home.

Settings apply to the selected profile and are stored on the keyboard, so the mapping works on any PC.

Additional toggles in ADVANCED > GAMEPAD:

Once GAMEPAD MODE is set to XBOX or CLASSIC, two extra switches decide what the mapped keys do at the keyboard level:

ENABLE MAPPED KEYBOARD KEYS: When ON, keys assigned to gamepad inputs continue to send their normal keyboard code alongside the controller signal.

DISABLE MAPPED KEY INPUT: When ON, keys assigned to gamepad inputs stop sending their keyboard code entirely, so only the controller signal reaches the PC.

Between them, you can decide whether the game (or Windows) sees your keys as keyboard input, controller input, or both.

In game setup tips:

Set the game’s input mode to controller (or leave it on auto detect) so the game picks up the emulated gamepad.

Some games handle keyboard and controller input at the same time smoothly; others switch between them. If your inputs are fighting each other, please check the game’s input settings first.

Keep a clean profile with GAMEPAD MODE set to KEYBOARD ONLY, so you can switch back to standard keyboard behaviour with FN + dial."
