What is adjustable actuation?Updated 13 days ago

The actuation point is how far a key travels before it registers. Adjustable actuation lets you choose that distance, either for the whole keyboard or for individual keys, instead of using whatever the switch manufacturer chose.

Adjustable actuation on the K-001:

The K-001’s WALLHACK KS-TR (Medium) switches are read by Hall Effect sensors that measure key travel continuously. The Actuation Point can be set wherever you like: anywhere from 0.10 mm to 3.10 mm, in steps as small as 0.05 mm.

Note: The maximum millimetre value depends on the switch currently installed and calibrated in the K-001. 3.20 mm is the default maximum with the pre-installed WALLHACK KS-TR (Medium) switches.

All keys at once: Press FN + AP and rotate the dial.

Specific keys: Create a Keyset in AP Mode (for example, just WASD) and give it its own Actuation Point. In WALLHACK Terminal, you can do the same by clicking keys on the on screen layout.

Custom macro values: Set a precise MM value in WALLHACK Terminal at terminal.wallhack.com and select it from the keyboard. Anything from 0.10 mm to 3.20 mm is supported.

Live Actuation Readout (FN + Caps Lock): See exactly how deep you are actually pressing by looking at the K-001’s LEDs. This lets you set the Actuation Point to where your fingers already are.

Adjustable actuation and Rapid Trigger combinations:

The Actuation Point decides where a key first activates. Rapid Trigger decides how it resets after that. When they are tuned together, they remove almost all dead travel from your inputs.
